arrows Channel installation, initiated through Cruiser's channel management tool, fails. What can be wrong?

Cruiser should:

  • Not be blocked from the local machine's firewall. When launching Cruiser for the first time and if Java has not been used before, the default (at least) Windows firewall asks for permission to allow Java to reach the internet, and it should be allowed to do so.
  • Other programs that act as firewalls or monitor internet access, may also block Cruiser. To avoid that, Cruiser should be flagged as an application that is allowed to access the internet.

arrows Cruiser crashes. What can be wrong?

It has been reported that the Nod 32 antivirus program causes Cruiser to crash just after it tries to reach the internet (that is, Cruiser runs for a few seconds and then crashes). In these cases it is suggested that the antivirus is deactivated for as long Cruiser is used.
